Live: P-Funk Earth Tour is a 1977 Parliament live double album that documents the band's P-Funk Earth Tour of that year. The performances include songs from Parliament's albums through The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein as well as songs from the Funkadelic repertoire. The album is made up of portions of two performances from January 1977 at the Oakland Coliseum and the Los Angeles Forum.
The track "The Landing (Of The Holy Mothership)" is a musical montage that mixes clips of various P-Funk recordings with broadcast news-style commentary from George Clinton. The original vinyl release contained a 22" by 33" inch poster of George Clinton dressed as Dr. Funkenstein, as well as an iron-on t-shirt transfer that boasted the slogan "Take Funk To Heaven in '77!". "Parliament Live" became the group's third album to be certified cold.

Funkentelechy Vs. The Placebo Syndrome 1977 is a funk album by Parliament, released in 1977 (see 1977 in music).
The album is considered to be one of the best in Parliament's oeuvre. It is a loose concept album warning the listener of falling into the 'Placebo Syndrome', which according to George Clinton is consumerism, and listening to disco music, which he saw as a simplification of funk music in attempt to gain commercial success. The album spawned a number #1 single in "Flash Light", which features a funky synthesizer bass line played by keyboardist Bernie Worrell. The album became Parliament's fourth consecutive gold album and second platinum album.
The original vinyl release contained a 22" by 33" inch poster of the character "Sir Nose D'Voidoffunk", as well as an 8 page comic book that explains the concept behind the LP. Both the poster and the comic book were illustrated by Overton Loyd.

Motor Booty Affair 1978 is an album by funk band Parliament. Released in 1978, it contains two of the group's more popular tracks, "Rumpofsteelskin" and "Aqua Boogie (A Psychoalphadiscobetabioaquadoloop)". The album title refers to the music coming out of "Motor town" Detroit in the 70's. "Motown Records" was producing hit after hit and funk bands (e.g. Parliament) were blooming.
Artist Overton Loyd prepared the cover of Motor Booty Affair. The main release consisted of a gate-fold album cover featuring a pop-up rendition of the city of Atlantis, with Loyd's artwork on the front and back covers. His illustrations included cartoon portraits of some of the "characters" mentioned in the songs on the album, including "Mr. Wiggles". It also included cardboard cutout figures featuring Loyd's cartoon illustrations of most of the characters mentioned in the songs. There was also a picture disk, with Loyd's illustration printed directly on the vinyl LP. The album was Parliament's fifth consecutive gold album.
