A British group with a nicely jazzy feel -- as you might guess from the dude holding the saxophone on the back cover, but at a level that's much more deeply soulful than their dated look! James Ross handles vocals, and he's got a surprisingly nice voice -- much more expressive than you'd guess from his appearance, and a great fit to the jaunty instrumentation on bass, keyboards, guitar, and flute -- and almost an overlooked counterpart to bigger UK blue-eyed soul singers of the time.
