Great lost funky soul material from one of the few non-rap acts on Sugarhill. The group maintain a very strong jazzy club sound -- with a bit of a Wayne Henderson/At Home groove, and a nice polished finish. Some tracks even have a strong positive vibe, and the kind of righteous mellow soul that follows in a Leroy Hutson/Roy Ayers tradition. Songs are all in a good midtempo groove, and they've got some excellent hooks! Includes the breakdance cut "We Got The Funk", plus "Tell Me What You See", "Today It Snowed", "You're Welcome", and "People Get On Up".
